Windmill
Feeling extremely bored during the hols, I decided to assemble a windmill woodcraft.

Windmill Woodcraft
The assembly was supposed to be idiot proof and required only minimal effort. However, I failed to consider the country of the manufacturer and was having a hard time smoothing the rough edges with the tiny, thin. flimsy piece of sandpaper that they provided. After rubbing for around an hour, I think the paper was less than an mm thick and I could feel my fingers burning from the friction.

After assembling the pieces, the windmill looked really plain. So I decided to colour it. I dug up my poster colours which were all either in powder form or caked. So I went to buy a palette and a paintbrush, and tried to beg for some varnish from an auntie from a hardware shop but she refused to give me. Nvm. Stingy people will never make good businessman. No wonder the shop always look so empty. Ha.

Painting gives me great joy. For some reason. Its like breathing life into something.

When you paint you're really in the moment, so you're not thinking about anything that disturbed you from years ago or any anxious thoughts about the future.. like whether your next supper is going to be the last. You trust your subconscious when you paint, applying slow tedious strokes and making decisions along the way and it’s just a huge thrill.

Here's the finished product. With One Piece characters :)
