Today, I felt the signs of heatiness creeping at the back of my itchy throat. Must have been the bibim guksu (noodles) or the chocolate pie that made me feel a little sick.

Had a real bad craving for meat today. It didn't help that meat, or pork in particular, is freaking expensive in korea. I realised that I have only had meat once in Korea after being here for close to two weeks.

I managed to join my roommate, Andrew, for a meal. He was in a comatose mood for the entire day and he just got up in time for dinner. He drinks like every single night till the break of dawn; most of the time, he gets into the room when I wake up in the morning. Ultimate hardcore drinker.

We took a slow walk to Sinchon and there were lots of couples out but I didnt bring my camera along so no photos..sorry guys. Well.. even if I brought, its hard to get good shots.

We settled for a restaurant which served Samgyupsal (grilled pork belly/ 五花肉 ) and we ordered two plates. It was so good or maybe we were really hungry that we ordered two more plates. They were rather generous, giving us considerable slabs of pork belly.

Sam gyeop sal is basically pork bacon that is served on grill with kimchi, onions and vegs. The cooked meat is supposed to wrapped with lettuce/ gunip, along with some cooked rice and some ssamjang (i think its made of gochujang and some other stuff), and eaten out of hand like a springroll.
Oooh, I just love the melting fats with the paste, kimchi and the leaves.
SO heavenly.
I guess four months later, I am going to return to Singapore looking like a pig.
