Pusan/ Gyeongju Trip

Many things happened during this trip. Some memorable, some unpleasant but.. well it was a good trip on the whole. We planned the itinerary, booked accommodation, and had to scroll korean websites for info (especially for PIFF- pusan international film festival) beforehand.

Liwei, our taiwan friend, was our official tour guide since he had the lightest academic load. But the late nights of planning took its toll on him, making him rather shagged.
Train tickets. In a nice 红包..maybe not angbao since its not red. Maybe lanbao 蓝包, but it sounds wrong, ah nvm.

Happy commuters on the KTX express train. (Gary and Ariyo)
View from the window. Trains are kind of fast in Korea, which makes me wonder why do we take so long to travel on Sg MRTs since our island is so small?!!

At our guesthouse which we booked through busanbagpackers.com . Reasonably priced considering our late booking. I chose to sleep on the floor which saved me 5,000 won..the equivalent of 10 ice-creams! / McDonald's meal.

Our first stop was at some old folk town where we discovered that we were the youngest creatures in that vicinity. Yes look at the amount of cabbage that have for kimchi. Food for thought: Do rabbits in korea eat kimchi?

At Haeunde beach (probably their most famous beach) in Pusan. Kind of nice..its natural sand. Its usually packed with flocks of pretty girls in bikinis during summer..but well..summer is over and I made a :( drawing in the sand as a display of my disappointment.

PIFF (Pusan International Film Festival) the reason why we chose to go during that period. Royston Tan's 881. We wanted to catch the closing movie Evangelion 1.0 but we were unable to get the tickets. Because we didnt start queuing since early morning. So we just snapped pictures to act like we went to the film festival, which we did. The venue. haha. And we witnessed the closing ceremony too.

Went to check on girls making sandcastles. And yes. we were only admiring the sandcastles.
But seeing girls moulding lumps of sand made me build my own sandcastles in my head.

Actually we took a lot of nice photos on the beach, using Crystal's camera but some fucker stole it from us while we were drunk and giggling merrily on the subway. So I'm only left with the ugly pictures from Pusan..like of me. haha.

We took a cruise and saw lots of seagulls..flying around us. I could literally examine its armpit from where we stood. The seagulls surrounding us made it resemble a scene of a korean drama. I cant remember which one though.

Some lighthouse.

No, we didnt have dinner at this restaurant..instead we settled for an 'interesting' dinner which was partly my fault because I was such a smart alec to decipher the korean characters wrongly.

Turned out that we ordered..pig organs stew.I don't really have an aversion to pig organs since I was trained to eat those from young. I consume pig liver, kidney on a regular basis..pigs' stomach once in a while. As for intestines, I rarely touch them. In Singapore, pig organ's soup is a common thing...but somehow the broth there was kind of 'special', lol, the taste was quite overbearing , which freaked the two HK girls and Crystal out. We paid like 7,000 won, damn pain sia. T.T

...Blogging fatigue. I have too many stuff to update and I am so tired. 3 more mid-terms to go and lots of activities planned out for the weekend. And late nights of dotaing, watching serials and youtubing sure doesnt help.

Hop over to Ariyo's blog to read more about pusan happenings. :D
Btw, I did a guest blog entry there too. On crazy ajummas. hahah.
